Senior Test Engineer Job in Dublin South, Dublin Ireland
My client is specialized in providing intelligent software applications and sales methodologies and they are now looking to recruit a self-starting, creative and innovative Test Engineer into their software development team.
Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Test Engineer will be a member of a focused team developing and maintaining leading-edge software applications to support the sales effectiveness needs of the enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with stakeholders to establish test requirements for new features, including developing test-scripts and planning automated testing
•Identify gaps in existing test coverage and design and develop test plans and automated test-suites to cover these areas
•Build on existing test processes and plan and develop new processes as necessary
•Identify where automated and manual testing are respectively best suited across the product.
•Execute the test suites and also manage others in this task as required.
•Ensure timely and robust implementation of the company's development plans
•Work according to the agile methodology adhered to, including testing early and often, with customer-focused testing, rapid iterative development and continuous re-prioritisation
•Use specialist knowledge and experience of testing and related tools to provide advice, leadership and vision
•Contribute to the review, selection, and adoption of proprietary tools and technologies
•Work with other team members in accomplishing group objectives
•Ensure that all relevant parties are kept up to date on progress of projects and give feedback on an ongoing basis
•Ensure compliance with relevant company standards and guidelines
•Support the maintenance and continued availability of our hosted technology solutions
Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
•6 ys experience in a test engineer role, including developing new test plans and processes, and leading others through them
•Experience of planning and developing automated testing
•Disciplined, organized, and structured approach
•Capacity to organize individual workload and manage individual projects
•Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through, with an unwavering attention to detail
Desirable:
The following would be an asset:
•Experience working in an agile development environment;
•Knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Fit, FitNesse, Canoo WebTest, or others
•Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing;
•Also advantageous would be knowledge of CRMs such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle CRM On Demand
