Department Engineering Employment Type Regular/Full-Time Education Required High School Diploma Languages Required Experience Required 5 - 7 Years Relocation Provided No General Job Objective Manitowoc Cranes, a global leader in lifting solutions, is seeking a detailed oriented Senior Test Technicians for first and second shifts. Under the general direction of Test Engineers and/or Test Managers a Senior Test Technician will be responsible for supporting the verification programs at the Product Verification Center. The Sr. Technician would possess the experience and skills required for a particular area or areas of expertise (Electrical/Software, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Structural, Materials, Product Performance and Test Specifications and Procedures) within the verification programs. This individual would be responsible for setup, implementation, execution, reporting and analysis of test procedures and standards. Reporting directly to the Manager Product Testing, this position is based in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania. Essential Job Functions - Advanced knowledge and use of the Verification Management System - Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics - Advanced hydraulic knowledge, application, controls, and troubleshooting - Advanced electrical and controls and troubleshooting - Sound, HVAC, Engine and drive train testing of products and components - Develop detailed installation work instructions for the use of test instrumentation - Software control and PLC's - Setup of major test configurations to include data acquisition systems - Develop summarized data reduction tables and graphs to analyze current configurations - Provide accurate information and analysis of data - Provide timely results for test engineers to review progress and results - Preliminary Report Summary - Maintain equipment and product schedules - Keep stock of key perishable instrumentation and supplies up to date - Assure that test facilities are well maintained and ready to support test and analysis requirements - Non destructive testing Job Requirements/Working Conditions - Five years experience in hydraulic lab testing required. In lieu of experience, combined five years of technical degree and experience required. - Advanced electrical, software control and PLC's, and troubleshooting required - Experience Labview or MTS, Somat or similar data acquisition system required - Ability to read and interpret and hydraulic schematics required - Must be able to work outside all year round at least 50% of time. - Safety/Work Area - Must be able to perform job in a safe manner including wearing required PPE, maintain area and equipment in orderly condition and comply with all safety practices and safety training. - Technical Writing Skills - Machine Tools experience a plus - Must be able to travel intermittently to test cranes (less than 10%) - Will be required to train and mentor Test Technicians - Must be able to complete job related training including Red Belt - Good Interpersonal Communications. - Good knowledge of applicable Industry Standards J2W:CB1 EEO STATEMENT The Manitowoc Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
