Senior Tester - Insurance - City of London - Permanent - £40k-55k
Senior Tester - Insurance - City of London - Permanent - £40k-55k. My client, a Lloyds of London insurer, are looking for a Senior Tester to join their software delivery team for work on several key current and upcoming projects.
This is a requirement for a functional tester with experience in manual testing, although automated testing experience would be beneficial as there will be a move towards that environment in the future. You will be working in an agile environment with weekly iterations and you should have led scrum teams of between 3-10 people, with personal responsibility for driving the sprints within the scrum.
Involvement with documentation, developer bug testing and QA would eb very beneficial. This is a people/business focused role but the ideal candidate should also be able to communicate with the developers from a technical perspective.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and executing system test scripts across multiple applications
- Preparing and executing regression and integration scripts across all ADM systems
- Providing general advice and guidance on testing issues
- Providing support guidance to the business users during User Acceptance Testing
- Being self sufficient and work within an Agile team of developers/analysis providing testing expertise
Experience:
- Experience of SDLC, Waterfall, Agile RAD methodologies
- Testing Lifecycle and levels of testing appropriate to each
- Experience of 'V' model 'W' model
- Experienced in Test Fault management processes and tools
- Experience of managing Testing Environments
- Experience of database integration tools
- Understanding of the testing defect lifecycle
Desirable:
- Automated testing tools including Open Source tools
- Release Configuration management
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (or equivalent)
- Solid testing experience in an insurance / financial environment
- Proven Team Leading or Senior Tester experience
- Solid hands on testing experience across System, Integration Regression testing
