Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Primary contact for Kenworth training, including curriculum design, development, tracking and facilitation of training for managers, supervisors and employees.
- Partner with Corporate Training and PACCAR Trainer Network on organizational development initiatives such as performance management, first level supervisory training, compliance training and major leadership development programs.
- Assist production departments with training needs as identified by area managers.
- Develop and coordinate Production truck parts/systems, process, or functionally specific training programs to effectively increase employee competency in their area of specialty.
- Develop training outlines in accordance with “best practice” training design recommendations, addressing all critical tasks, incorporating employee participation and interaction, and appropriate evaluation and follow-up.
- Work within Production to define Cross-Training opportunities and assist with training needs identified.
- Train or facilitate classes solo or along with other subject matter experts.
- Coordinate and assist with Production related pre-hire and new-hire training/testing.
- Prepare training materials and manuals to meet training needs. Assist with maintaining required training records and documentation as required by ISO compliance procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors for scheduled classes.
- Assist with onsite event preparations. Maintain media equipment needed to assist with training, meetings and special events. Maintain KW-TV Network system.
- Work with other Kenworth Plants and Division to collaborate on common training needs, sharing resources when applicable.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Qualifications Skills
Skills Required:
- Five or more years of Production, Engineering and/or Quality experience strongly desired.
- Prior trainer and facilitator experience helpful, preferably 2 or more years.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to interact well with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills are a must. Strong in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information.
Education/Training Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
