Senior Treasury Analyst, City of London recruitment
In response to the expanding activities in Treasury, and in addition to new FSA requirements, the role will have responsibility for the accounting and financial analysis of Treasury activities covering all major revenue generating streams. The current portfolio itself is extensive with GBP denominated securities with expansion to USD and EUR within the next 12months, potential growth of the portfolio is significant.
A strong financial analyst is required with an extensive accounting background who is familiar with treasury products and related accounting within banking institutions.
Specific duties include:
- Treasury financial analysis/accounting ofUKtreasury
- Set-up of Securities Corp Companies and running the portfolio; this also includes transfer of investment securities from other entities to the new Securities Corp companies
- Understanding of accretion and amortisation modelling
- Prepare accretion/amortization schedule for accounting and tax purposes
- NIR and Yield Analysis of the Asset and Liability portfolio
- Responsible for the accurate accounting and accounting controls of all Treasury products, including portfolio accounting for HFS/ATM securities and calculation of accretion
- Liquidity reporting for SSBT London branch and otherUKentities
- Responsible for quarterly SOX self-assessment of treasury accounting controls
- MTM Automation for Traded But Not Settled Trades
- Management/Financial/SEC Reporting
- Annual Account Disclosure
Background of successful candidate:
- Knowledge of treasury products and understanding of treasury products and accounting required
- Understanding of various Gaaps (UK Gaap, US Gaap, and IFRS) for treatments of investment securities
- Proven experience in a financial services role and familiarity with its processes
- Experience of liquidity reporting and ILAA process very useful
- Experience with accounting systems essential
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree, with concentration in Accounting or Finance
- Part Qualified ACCA/ACA preferred
