Senior UNIX Systems Administrator recruitment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the production, BRP, UAT and development environment.
• Provide business and infrastructure project resourcing.
• Assist the team in issue and problem management.
• Monitoring performance and capacity of systems and make recommendations where appropriate.
• Manage the release of software into the production environment.
• Interface with application support staff on production problems.
• Provide out-of-hours cover for production systems.
• Maintain accurate support and project documentation.
• Coaching and mentoring UNIX production support team.
• Active participation in strategic technology initiatives.

• Associate Director, Head of London Unix Team
• Head of Production Services.
• Project managers.
• Vendors (e.g. Oracle, Red Hat).• Infrastructure and Application support teams.• Developers.• Global Engineering Team
EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCE
• Good communication skills.
• Planning, organizing, and negotiating skills.
• Demonstrate competency in crafting efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.

• High level of Linux and Solaris administration expertise.
• High level of Veritas products.
• Supporting mission critical systems.
• Delivery of medium/large scale IT infrastructure projects.
• Substantial scripting experience (shell and perl etc).
