JOB DESCRIPTION:
Leading Trading Firm seeks a Senior Linux / Unix Engineer to help support and expand their continually growing environment and work in conjunction with their development team to integrate infrastructure with application development. You will have strong programming and scripting experience in a trading environment and have serious Linux/Unix Engineering experience too. If you are an experienced Linux / Unix Engineer who has experience in a coding/programming/developing then we want to hear from you!
Role Description
Leading Trading Firm seeks a Senior Linux / Unix Engineer to help support and expand their continually growing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing next-generation architecture and managing the physical and virtual server environment that runs their applications and their supporting infrastructure. The environment is made up of high-performing global data and storage networks, and systems automation tools for their large scale Linux environments. This role will provide an opportunity to extend their private cloud to provide a standard and scalable platform for their applications. Overall, the role will entail approximately 60% engineering and 40% development.
Personal Profile:
The individual should have:
Computer Science or Engineering Degree
LINUX/UNIX Engineering experience
Large installation systems administration experience
Strong programming and scripting ability
Familiarity with Java-based application environments
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated experience in Project Management is a plus as the role will entail a significant amount of this
