Senior Utilities Engineer Job in Sligo, Sligo Ireland

As a result of a marked upturn in business our client are in expansion mode and are now seeking to fill the following position.
Senior Utilities Engineer
- To provide Engineering support in the areas of Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, and Equipment (FUME) system
- Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the sites operations from an equipment perspective (HPW (WFI/DI), HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, tower water, LPHW, Boilers) and know how the equipment impacts on the process.
- Understand the design basis for the utility systems and associated measurement equipment including the equipment capability and alarm strategy.
- Manage the change control procedures for all utilities.
- Take responsibility for the training of operators and others on the use and maintenance of the equipment.
- Know the safe operating limits of the equipment.
- Ensure Utility Operations are in alignment with current interpretations of GMPs, Global Quality Standards and Global Engineering Standards.
- Understand the PM program and spare parts list for all equipment and ensure equipment is maintained in a fit for use state.
- Oversee all significant changes to the equipment and advise on appropriate requalification or return to service activities.
- Own, understand and review utilities equipment related continuous improvement measures and use statistical tools to help with variability elimination.
- Lead investigations / provide equipment expertise in all incident investigations.
- Develop a reliability centered maintenance program (RCM) for utility systems and ensure data is available to support the maintenance and calibration of all utility systems.
- Identify and monitor main causes of downtime Implement utilities upgrade projects.
Essential
Educated to Hons. Degree level in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Five (5) years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in overseeing the operation of clean utilities systems in a cGMP environment
Experience in FMEA,QRM, PID development, PFD development
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired
- Knowledge of BMS design and operation
- Experience in electrical, mechanical and civil services.
- Exposure to Lean -Six sigma principles
