Posted Position Title: Senior UX Lead Career Level: Experienced Function Information Technology Function Segment: Business Solutions Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Illinois City: Chicago Postal Code: 60661-3671 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: Senior level employee responsible for leading web/mobile site application designs as part of a Web Design Usability COE, creating effective user interface experiences, visual appeal and interactive capabilities that focus on delivering all site/brand/customer goals thru innovative creative design solutions. This role will lead efforts to drive UX processes, value and deliverables for intiatives across GE Capital Americas. Essential Responsibilities " Partners with business and IT leaders to drive designs through research, strategy, UX best practices, testing and ongoing support " Manages UX deliverables across team members for web sites/applications and mobile applications " Identifies and uses tools to capture design deliverables including but not limited to: customer interviews, usability testing input/output, customer stakeholder exercises, user personas, wireframes, site maps, comps, graphic components, etc. " Develops and maintains relationships with business, IT leaders, developers, architects and other stakeholders to define and plan integrated solutions. " Responsible for understanding and supporting critical GE branding standards while helping to evolve guidelines to deliver fresh, innovative designs. " Responsible for working with other team members to ensure adherence to Brand standards and securing of Brand approval " Ensures successful completion of all work executed by the team (on time, on budget, and ensuring quality). " Ensures compliance with the project management methodologies and the Project Management Office processes and standards. " Ensures compliance of application release management, outage management and change control processes and standards. " Creates, communicates, and manages the project plans and other required project documentation and provides updates as necessary. Maintains project documentation, including project charter, requirements, conceptual design, test plans, schedules, and presentations. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) and 6+ years IT experience in implementing solutions. - 5+ years in Web Design delivering fresh, innovative design solutions - Experience managing multiple design projects from design through deployment. Desired Characteristics - Knowledge of development best practices to ensure successful communication and issue resolution with development team - Design experience for financial institution web sites/applications - Designs for mobile applications including smartphones and tablets - Art background a plus - Knowledge in front end development and the relationship between design and code - Experience with interactivity and charting tools and other ways to visualize data - System Development experience. - Project Management Professional Certification. - Green Belt or Black Belt Certified. - Competent in project estimation, demand forecasting, and budget management. - Demonstrated team leadership experience. - Integration experience. - Ability to lead a team to drive consistency and quality across the teams deliverables.
