Senior VAT Advisor
Senior VAT Advisor - This diverse and stimulating organisation, which has an international reputation for excellence is seeking a VAT specialist to join the central tax department. Based in Oxford, this organisation is easily accessible from the Home Counties and surrounding areas with excellent train links and transport facilities such as park and ride schemes.
The Role: you will report to the Tax Manager and take ownership of the VAT issues for the organisations businesses including:
Quarterly VAT return
Partial exemption validation / Capital good scheme calculations
Be the primary for VAT advisory queries to the business and major projects
Be involved in training and development of wider organisation staff on VAT issues.
You: Will have a strong VAT background either from practice or a commercial role, you must have partial exemption experience and be willing to take on a mixed compliance and advisory post. You must be enthusiastic, come with ideas and work well within a high profile team. If you had local government, NHS, Education VAT background, or from the revenue this would be an advantage but is not essential.
