Senior Vice President, Core Finance Solutions recruitment

This position holder will be the key person responsible for defining business components of the entire PeopleSoft Financials (PSF) applications, which are specific modules built on the PSF platform and PeopleSoft EPM application. 

You will be managing and improving delivery of the Business As Usual (BAU) services to the wider finance community, owning the underlying processes, managing the change agenda are some of the key deliverables expected from this job holder. You will also be driving standardization / reduction of Total Cost of ownership which would be the key demonstrable outcomes expected from this job position. 

The Position

• Own the design / business implementation methodology / change management agenda for all of the PeopleSoft Financials tools / PSF Enterprise Performance Management application

• Own the End To End underlying processes applicable to these tools.

• Work with the business users / vendor to define future strategy for the application suite – upgrades to next version, leveraging off new products launched by the vendor etc

• Oversee the assessment and execution of change impacting the underlying processes

• Stream-line usage of the tool-set through clear documented processes for usage of the tools; Exception handling hierarchies; Ensure usage of the tools as per laid down procedures; Bring in business buy-in for changes made to the tools through user forums

• Train users for proper usage of the tools + creation of a training schedule for stream-lined   on-going BAU training capability

• Stream-line implementations through the creation of standard tool-kits to enable automation / better control of the end to end process

• Adhoc projects as laid out by the various IMGC forums / Senior Finance stakeholders.

• Represent the organization in external vendor / user forums to ensure that customisations if any done to the product are included in the product map of the application

• Work with the up-stream service providers to ensure that data flow to the in-scope applications are stream-lined and reconciled – this will in turn reduce the effort in investigating variances and reduce FTE in the centralized functions

• Work with the owners of downstream applications to stream-line data usage from the in-scope applications by rationalizing the data extracts / feed files.  This in turn will reduce the effort in managing the application.

• Manage senior stake-holders on issues related to end-to-end process 

The Candidate

• Strong Accounting skills and a flair of blending accounting / reporting needs with solutions available in the toolset

• Strong leadership qualities – ability to inspire / influence teams, stake-holders, service providers.

• Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex the approach as needed

• Capacity to think creatively and laterally; excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments

• In depth experience in implementation / managing of Finance Systems across a large sized bank utilizing multiple modules of PeopleSoft Financials.

• Exposure / working experience in utilizing PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management application toolset.

• Strong project management skills and operational discipline.

• Core Financial management reporting knowledge and sound knowledge of financial controls and processes

• Systematic and logical analytical skills in problem solving, ability to deal with both granularity of issues and how it fits into the bigger picture of Finance Transformation agenda
