Senior Vice President, Head of Treasury recruitment
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer as well as to the Chief Investment Officer for portfolio strategy and will also report quarterly to the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee on overall Treasury matters.
Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing liquidity policy, recommending and implementing changes of policy to reflect the Bank’s liquidity management requirements via the Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO)
- Managing and Investing of the Bank’s liquidity portfolio in conjunction with the Chief Investment Officer
- Establishing and controlling interest rate policy via ALCO
- Responsible for preparation of all ALCO meeting materials.
- Foreign exchange risk management and ensuring all foreign exchange transactions are appropriately executed in conjunction with client relationship managers
- Modeling and forecasting balance sheet and net interest income/margin under different scenarios
- Analysis of deposit liability behavior
- In coordination with business heads, develop new banking and investment related products.
- Liaising with the Finance Department to establish daily cash positions via the clearing process and executing transactions as appropriate
- Relationships with other financial institutions, correspondents and local regulators on treasury related matters
- Ensuring that all Treasury activities are in compliance with treasury policies, accounting guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Developing new bank products
The Successful Candidate Must Have:
- Under graduate degree or equivalent experience in Business/Finance or related field. MBA/CFA would be an advantage
- Experience of Basel III liquidity requirements
- At minimum of 10 years experience in financial markets as a Senior Treasury Manager/Practitioner, preferably in a major money centre
- Extensive experience operating in financial markets and asset/liability management
- Extremely strong analytical skills as well as superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Great Plains, Sendero and Spectrum platforms would be greatly advantageous
- Strong people management skills
