Senior Vice President- Finance
Heartland Financial has a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance position available at its Dubuque, Iowa headquarters. The SVP Finance will be responsible for planning and directing accounting activities within the Finance Department of Heartland Financial. The individual will coordinate the timely closing and reporting of the monthly financial statements for Heartland Financial, its member banks, and its nonbank subsidiaries. The individual will assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures related to financial management, budgeting, and accounting. Other responsibilities of the position include the following: coordinating with Special Assets personnel on the general ledger of Other Real Estate Owned (OREO) and reviewing loan impairment calculations from an accounting perspective; preparing regulatory reporting for Heartland including Federal Reserve Forms Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-10, and Y-6; assisting with the implementation and ongoing review of internal controls over financial reporting as required under Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002; assisting with the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting; and coordinating and assisting with the preparation of the annual financial budgets for Heartland and the member bank and nonbank subsidiaries. Qualifications include a Certified Public Accountant License, Master’s Degree or equivalent, or five or more years experience and/or training.
