Senior VoIP Engineer

Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, telecommunications, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience
* Minimum four years networking, telecommunications, or application experience required with an emphasis in VoIP.
* Minimum one year supervisory or lead experience preferred
Other
* Basic knowledge of multi protocol label switching (MPLS) required
* Basic knowledge of signaling protocols (e.g., SS7, SIP, CAS, etc) required
Responsible for leading and participating in the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of the companies Voice over IP (VoIP) deployment, supporting applications and network hardware; receive and address error escalations of VoIP network through the ticket system, troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner; conduct third-tier level of support concerning new products for internal and external customers, train training resource to convey the correct information for client service.
