Full Job Description
My client is one of the worlds leading investment banks whose performances have been improving year upon year across multiple asset classes and they are now subsequently entering an aggressive stage of expansion plans within a number of groups. In order to maintain this level of growth and success the Market Access team now seek to on-board a Senior VP level C++ Software Developer-Architect to take a lead front office role in working towards providing global solutions with in house developments and vendor systems to support the banks? operational processes and secure its business growth. The successful Senior VP C++ Software Developer-Architect will join the team developing and maintaining exchange connectivity and high performance front office systems, leveraging on a common framework developed in Asia, Europe and Americas. Joining a well established, highly intelligent group of Quants and Developers this you will need to be technically excellent with strong organizational skills. You will join the team in building high performance applications for various front office businesses but specifically volatility and will also spend time ensuring all data and flows between other sales, trading and settlement applications are maintained taking full responsibility of the Software Development Life Cycle from start to finish. Moreover, additional responsibilities will see you gather requirements with the business and implement the project accordingly to the design laid out by management.
Senior VP C++ Software Developer-Architect -Equity-Fixed Income Volatility, Global Leading Investment Bank, Downtown, New York, NY will require the following skill-set;
• Excellent C++ programming skills
• Strong architectural knowledge with object oriented programming
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell-Perl-Python)
• Unix-Linux
• Network Protocols
• Socket Programming ability is a huge plus
• Deep financial knowledge in Equity and-or Derivatives, FX, Fixed Income, Credit
• MSc Education level preferable (though not essential)
• Pro-active, organised
Responsibilities for Senior VP C++ Software Developer-Architect -Equity-Fixed Income Volatility, Global Leading Investment Bank, Downtown, New York;
• Work on providing global solutions with in house developments and vendor systems to support the banks? operational processes and secure its business growth
• Develop and maintain exchange connectivity and high performance front office systems
• High performance applications for front office businesses - Volatility-Arbitrage
• Ensure data and flows between sales, trading and settlement applications are maintained
• Responsible for SDLC
• Implement project as designed by management accordingly, offering insight-dynamism-innovativeness on designs
• Report to global heads
