Senior VP – Fixed Income Emerging Markets Product Control recruitment
The Emerging Markets business is broadly split into Rates (interest rate and foreign exchange products) and Credit (credit derivatives and financing products) and also split geographically (Latin America, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa (EEMEA) and Asia Pacific).
The EEMEA Credit and Rates Flow businesses PL production is now offshored however a client services team is maintained in London.
The EM EEMEA desks cover a range of products:
- Rates (FX and IR) Flow: bonds, IRS, XCCY, FX spot and forwards, inflation products
- Credit Flow: bonds, CDS, loans, structured repos
- Financing: repos, reverse repos, economic funding trades for Global EM
- Rates (IR) Structured: Range accruals, GEMS index, swaptions,
- Credit Structured: CLNs, Loans, Structured repos, NTDs (CDSs + CLNs), Cross currency extinguishers. Hedge products: bonds, CDSs etc
This role is for Vice President in charge of these EEMEA Rates and Credit Flow/Financing Client service team.
This team sits within a wider team of 16 in the EEMEA EM PCG team. Key interactions will be with the desk head and traders on the EM Credit Rates Flow and Financing desks based in London, the wider Product Control Group, Middle Office, Market Risk, Operations and Technology. These interactions will cover the range of daily, weekly and monthly reporting communications as well as project work and ad hoc queries.
Main duties of this specific role will include:
- Relationship management with Rates and Credit Front Office, COO, GFRM, operations and Global head of EM Product Control (in London)
- Daily handover from EEMEA product control teams overseas to ensure smooth running of the daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc tasks and provide product control support during London hours
- Continue to build out the client service model in London to ensure effective controls and a suitable level of knowledge is retained.
- Day to day team management - act as a final level of quality review over the teams output both in London and abroad
- Be a subject matter expert for the businesses that they support

Experience required
- Experience of managing medium sized teams
- Proven track record of process enhancement and improvement.
- Experience of dealing with demanding clients.
- Previous exposure to derivative products, preferably Credit and Rates derivatives
- Previous banking experience in a front office facing role
