Senior VP to Director Cash Equities Execution Algorithmic Quant at Tier 1 US Investment Bank
JOB DESCRIPTION-
We are seeking a Senior VP to Director Cash Equities Execution Algorithmic Quantitative Researcher to build out the execution platform for a tier one US investment bank here in London.
You will be expected to design and develop algorithmic execution quant strategies to provide liquidity to internal and external clients. This is a highly visible position that faces off to multiple areas of the business within a small and highly specialised team. After a successful start to the year the team are looking to expand and the right candidate will be able to continue to build the team further down the line.
The successful candidate will possess excellent programming ability, alongside in depth cash equities knowledge, extensive market microstructure research skill and experience in algorithm execution strategy design and coding. Only those with multiple years of experience as well as an excellent educational background will be considered, particularly with a PhD or Masters in Computer Science.
The role will entail:
- Developing sophisticated execution internal crossing strategies
- Creating market leading Algo execution strategies for external clients
- Market neutral Liquidity provision
- Extensive market microstructure research
- Enhancement of the cash equities franchise
- Generating ideas and conducting research to improve our execution logic and platforms
- Close interaction with the market
Key Qualifications;
- Strong programming abilities in C/C++, Java or Python
- Modelling skills in Matlab, R or similar
- Excellent quantitative execution strategy design skills
- Fantastic algorithm execution coding abilities
- Expert knowledge of equities
- Excellent education from a quantitative discipline
- Experts in the area of artificial intelligence, machine learning, game theory, signal processing, optimization and simulation are of most interest.
Experience in similar quant execution role is an absolute must.
