Senior Web Administrator
David Evans and Associates is currently seeking a Web Administrator to join our project team for our client based in Portland, OR. The Web Administrator position is located in NJSI, Business Applications Support, within the IT Organization. The Level III SharePoint Administration Support is a position requiring 10+ years of demonstrated experience in an enterprise web environment supporting SharePoint technologies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Will carry out assigned tasks with a professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, patience, analytical reasoning and problem solving abilities.
- Must have the ability to meet timelines, milestones, deliverables and provide timely (weekly) status updates.
- Will communicate technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users.
- Is required to provide a sustainable IT infrastructure by supplying cross training and functional documentation. They will be required to understand and follow established processes and procedures including Change Management, Work Tracking and Time Management.
- Will provide on-call and backup support for existing systems at BPA facilities on or off-site and will be required to carry a BPA supplied cell phone/pager and work non-core hours when requested.
Performance Requirements:
· 10+ years of experience in an enterprise web environment with 5+ years supporting SharePoint technologies.
· Undergraduate or Masters College Degree in computer science or related technical field
· Microsoft certification
Knowledge and skill in applying:
· Administering Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 platforms and supporting technologies including:
o SQL Server 2005 / 2008
o IIS 6.0 / 7.0
o Server farm design concepts
o Windows networking principles
- Ability to implement, administer, and maintain multiple SharePoint farms.
- Act as a point-of-contact to troubleshoot application and server issues
- Provide on call support activities for SharePoint
- Recommend and apply configuration settings to meet business needs and security requirements
- Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings
- Administer general system monitoring and verification
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of and skill in applying
- Installing and Administering SharePoint 2010
- Administering Project Server 2007
- Desktop MS Project client
Sufficient to:
- Administer and migrate to SharePoint 2010
- Support multiple SharePoint 2010 farms
- Support a Project Server 2007 farm
