Job Content Scope:
This role reports to the director of Web Analytics within the Ebusiness team. The Senior web analyst is not a 'report getter', instead you will be asked to tackle complex business problems to provide multiple, data-supported recommendations for key business decisions.
We are an Omniture shop, owning site catalyst, discover, recommendations and most recently the insight platform. Experience with Omniture insight will be highly prized during the hiring process with special preference given to candidates who have gone through analyst, or even better, architect training.
Accountabilities:
- Create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different sources and websites for presentations to senior management, Emarketing and user Experience.
- Create ad hoc reports and business forecasts to quantify the impact of development and marketing initiatives
- Optimize the presentation of website recommendations and deliver data to assist in tuning campaign creative.
- Collaborate with external partners such as Agencies, acquired companies and vendors to assist with data collection, reporting and campaign tagging.
- Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple "listening posts" (websites, surveys, testing, CRM systems, market research etc).
- Create, refine and document web analytics processes such as campaign tagging, data classification and dashboard creation.
- Direct external consultants in the creation of reporting and measurement solutions.
Deliverables:
- Weekly, monthly reports (excel, BI tools, clickstream analytics).
- Lead development of senior management dashboards.
- Ad Hoc Website behavior and customer experience analysis.
- Generate reporting requirements synthesized from multiple sources including product managers, development teams, and functional group members.
- Documentation relating to existing processes and suggestion / presentations for improving those processes.
- Effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for project teams and business leaders
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, statistics, economics, psychology or business
- At least three years working with clickstream analysis tools: Omniture, WebTrends, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, ect.
- Two years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and MVT testing, competitive analysis, surveys or customer experience tools
- Three to five years of experience in one or more roles in an Ecommerce environment
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools, two years, such as SAS, Business Objects, Cognos etc with experience writing and tuning sql queries in a online or offline environment
- Three to five years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills. Pivot tables should be just the beginning for you. In your past creating dashboards, you dance around rows and columns with IFstatements, Vlookups and nested text parsing
- Mid-level expertise in the PPC, affiliate, email marketing and SEO strategies and a minimum one year experience measure success of SEM / PPC and SEO campaigns / efforts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources

Preferred:
- MBA
- Three to five years of business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions / business units
- Exposure to project management skills, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques
