eBags Senior Web Designer

The Senior Web Designer is responsible for leading the production of creative assets that support the marketing efforts for eBags’ industry-leading websites, eBags.com and Handbags.com. This work includes onsite promotional banners and content features, promotional e-mails, site updates, offsite banners, and social marketing efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Play a lead role in a cross-functional team (including marketing and merchandising) to translate campaign-level business objectives into highly effective online marketing materials.

·         Leverage industry best practices in producing web-ready code for final designs.

·         Consistently deliver creative and visually appealing assets that sell effectively, while maintaining a high level of productivity.

·         Guide and mentor junior design staff in the development of specific campaign creative elements – both in terms of visual design and coding of final assets.

·         Shift flexibly from projects which require a high degree of creativity and interpretation to those with narrow requirements and guidelines.

·         Stay current with the e-commerce industry, bringing new ideas and best practices to work every day.

 

Qualifications Skills

·         3+ years of online retail design experience

o   Fashion-oriented design experience a plus

·         Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and InDesign)

·         Proven experience in producing Web-ready HTML files

·         Strong working knowledge of CSS, information design,, browser requirements and capabilities, and design constraints on the Web

·         Hard-working team player, with an ability to lead - and a willingness to collaborate on projects and provide support when needed.

·         Must possess a keen sense of style, color, and aesthetics.

·         Strong oral communication skills

·         Proven ability to meet tight deadlines

·         Catalog and print experience a plus

·         Experience with HTML5 and JavaScript a plus

 

Note: All candidates must have a web –based portfolio.

 

Education

·         BA with a design concentration preferred

·         In lieu of a four-year degree, candidates may present a portfolio that exhibits strong e-commerce design skills.
