Job Title: Senior Web Developer - C#, MVC, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript

In just 15 years our client has grown to be the UK`s most popular educational publisher. They employ more than 150 people across 4 sites, right on the fringe of the Lake District. They are proud of what they`ve achieved, and are not about to rest on their laurels!
Senior C# Web Developer
In the coming months they will be updating their existing e-commerce site, adding loads more marketing related functionality. They are also investing a great deal of time into exploring new methods of digital product delivery. With all this new development work and a website to nurture? they need a bigger team! So we`re looking for someone with outstanding technical ability, several years` experience and proven skills in:
* .NET 4, ASP.NET, C#
* ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ
* T-SQL, SQL Server
* HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery or ExtJS, Ajax
* OO design patterns
It`s not essential but would be beneficial if you're confident with:
* Classic ASP
* Web Services (REST / WCF)
* Version control software (e.g. SVN, Git)
* Photoshop/Illustrator
You`ll have:
* At least three years` experience of commercial web development in C#/ASP.NET
* Knowledge of full software lifecycle development
* Experience in high volume website development.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
* A naturally customer-focussed approach to your work.
Along with the technical skills you`ll also need to be really bright, have stacks of knowledge (and be happy to share it) and be keen to carry on learning. And to fit in perfectly, you`ll be a natural at getting on with people, flexible in your approach and happy to get stuck into a wide range of tasks.
