The Senior Web Developer for IT Application Services will assist in planning, designing, and developing all aspects (administrative and academic) of the University websites. The Senior Web Developer will also: improve the overall design of the University website to meet the needs of prospective and current students, alumni, and the various colleges and academic departments that support research and education; assist and advise individuals and departments on campus that maintain their own websites or seek to develop a site; coordinate initiatives that support marketing/communications, student recruitment, alumni affairs, and public and community relations; provide basic design and lay-out expertise for individual web pages; administer the University Content Management System; provide technical guidance and assist the Web Services Lead, Webmaster/Manager; ensure site content is accurate and up to date; assist in the overall testing and quality control of the website, the documentation of website and in-house web development tools on campus, and the formulation of campus policies and standards related to web development; provide support to individuals and departments through leading workshops and training; interact with other technology groups on campus and within the university system; meet with university contacts to provide assistance in developing and maintaining web pages; and build and develop site sections in the CMS (traditional and mobile site(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

- BA in Computer Science (or equivalent)

- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience developing websites and user/web interfaces in a professional environment

- Excellent skills in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and JavaScript (JQuery), Code Igniter or other frameworks

- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to: work collaboratively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds; develop propietary CMS add-ons or customizations; work in a challenging environment with competing priorities; and multi-task and prioritize assignments and projects

- Strong work ethic

- Hands on capabilities with development tools, including but not limited to; PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, PHP Frameworks, 3rd party Web Applications, use of Analytics tools (specifically Google)

- Strong enterprise CMS experience a bonus, specifically ExpressionEngine V2.0

- Familiarity with apache/linux/php/mysql server configurations

- Online Portfolio is required
