Senior Web Developer (PHP) Job in New York 10017, New York US
We are currently seeking a Web Developer. This position is responsible for developing, testing, implementation and support of external and internal-facing enterprise solutions. The candidate must be willing to learn any new tool or technology and take on many roles within the team to meet the business needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
-Serve as a technical expert. -Proposes and delivers technical innovation. -Works directly with multiple groups including developers, project managers, systems analysts, infrastructure, application administrators, and database administrators.
Experience and Skills Required -At least three (3) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems. This experience must include experience designing, building, and implementing IT systems, including integration with external system interfaces, web, and legacy system components. -
Experience documenting usability, capacity, performance, reliability, design, implementation, interface, and physical requirements. -Strong OO application design principles, practices, system development methodologies and software life cycles
Must have significant experience in multiple programming languages. PHP experience required
Javascript/Jquery major pluses
Experience with Websphere Commerce, Drupal, or Magento a plus.
Must have significant experience in database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySql), and operating systems. -
Experience in one or more areas of functional knowledge. eCommerce and web development is preferred.
Experience evaluating software development tools and environments. -
Must have outstanding ability to listen and communicate (including verbal and written) effectively to internal and external clients partners. Candidate must have demonstrated track record of building strong, lasting relationships with teams and clients. -
