Position Requirements:
Participate in the development and maintenance of Fitch's corporate and subscription website applications. Complete design, development, and testing tasks for existing and new internet functionality.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Java web applications (J2EE, JSP, Spring, JSF, Tiles, and Servlets), PL/SQL, and HTML code;
• Perform unit tests;
• Resolve defects;
• Collaborate and coordinate with other team members including DBAs, System Admins and business users who might be geographically distributed in implementing the projects
• Help design and implement a content management strategy for Fitch's existing web site, microsites, and local websites;
• Work as part of a team reporting to a Project Leader.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related
• 5+ years of Java programming
• 3+ years of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc)
• 2+ years of any Content Management Systems (CMS) experience
• 2+ years of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Tenacity/Persistence: Ability to stay with a plan of action until the desired objective is achieved or is no longer reasonably attainable.
• Team player, good interpersonal skills
• Proven Initiative; self-starter
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

Preferred:
• Experience working in Agile development environment
• Experience with JQuery, C# and/or ColdFusion
• Experience in Dreamweaver Template
• Experience with open source development deployment tools (Eclipse, Subversion, Ant, Maven)
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases, experience writing queries, debugging stored procedures, and debugging code.
• Experience with enterprise search technologies (Endeca preferred)
• Financial domain experience
