Senior Xcelsius Consultant
As an Xcelsius Developer within our organization you will have the opportunity to perform the following types of activities:
- Collaborate with business and technology departments to define deliverables and develop solutions that are reusable across the organization
- Conduct research studies that may include collecting, analyzing, trending and presenting data and recommendations to management
- Perform project management duties including the creation of status reports, work plans, and presentations to client leadership
- Identify and document business process re-engineering opportunities including current and future state process flows
- Define, develop and document business requirements to ensure clients needs are captured and delivered
- Participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test scripts, executing test cases and documenting defects
- Develop financial models and tools, including cost-benefit analysis, resource utilization models and performance reports
- Produce job aids, training material and instruction manuals for end-users
- Knowledge and experience using BO best practices for design and development of Business Intelligence systems
- 5+ years working experience with Xcelsius 2008 SP3
- 3+ years experience with developing highly interactive dashboard including drill down functionalities, filtering and changing data sets based on user interaction Solid experience in building dashboards leveraging Web Services using XML Experiences with QAAWS, BI Web services, Live office (examples provided is a plus)
- 3+ years experience interpreting business requirements into interactive dashboard
- 3+ years working in application development, understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, RUP, Watefall)
- 2+ experience with Experience developing BO Universes, reports, dashboards and scorecards
- Application design experience a plus
- 2+ Years of experience in SQL Queries is a plus
- Prefer candidates in Minneapolis or Chicago, but open to telecommuters with the proper qualifications
- Ability to travel required **(see note)
**Typical travel scenario - Travel is based on project size, scope and location. Travel of 50-80% is usually required for the assessment phase lasting approximately 6-8 weeks. Other phases of the project would require 0-50% travel. If travel is required Our typical travel schedule is out early Monday, back late Thursday with telecommute from home on Friday.
