Seniro Business Development Manager, Commodity & Structured Trade Finance recruitment
As part of HSBC’s growth in Australia, a new position has been created for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager in Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF), to be based in Perth. Reporting to the Head of CSTF, you will be responsible for originating, structuring and implementing both vanilla and structured trade finance products to commodity customers for Western Australia (WA), South Australia (SA) and Northern Territory (NT).
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Achievement of CSTF sales, client retention and acquisition targets, as well as cross–sell contribution.
- Championing proposed transactions internally by liaising with Relationship Managers, CSTF Middle Office, CSTF Risk Control, Credit Risk and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure minimum turnaround times from engagement to structuring and decision.
- Promoting cross-regional referrals and cross regional transactions, fostering team work and sharing best practice.
- Pro-actively ensuring that the underlying credit and operational risks of the local portfolio are being duly managed and reported.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record in CSTF related sales, with the ability to maintain risk and portfolio management standards in line with risk and balance sheet appetite.
- A good understanding of the local (WA/SA/NT) CSTF markets and players.
- Demonstrable knowledge of CSTF products and hybrid solutions and their application.
- Sound application of Credit, Operational and Market Risk principles applicable to CSTF.
- A recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with additional ACT/ACIB qualification desirable.
