SUMMARY:
The Sensor Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle of the Hardy sensors and accessories. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The Sensor Product Manager’s job involves finding and qualifying companies to supply products as well as coordinating the worldwide supply chain logistics. The Sensor Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals. This position will require both strategic efforts and tactical activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Defines and establishes the Product Strategy and Roadmap for targeted customer segments
- Sets pricing strategy to satisfy customer needs and meet company financial and profitability goals.
- Develop core positioning and messaging for the portfolio.
- Deliver product definitions and lead product development processes collaborating with Engineering.
- Run Beta and Pilot programs for new technologies/products
- Be an expert on the competition, on customers and technologies
- Develop Support and Training Material for Products
- Work with third parties to assess partnerships and licensing/OEM opportunities
- Develop Relabeling and value added plans for these 3rd party products
- Develop supply chain strategy for this category collaborating with Operations.
Education Experience:
B.S. degree with a minimum 5 years’ experience as a product manager
Experience managing OEMs and relabeling/remarketing 3rd party products
Proven ability to influence cross-function teams without formal authority
Excellent teamwork skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to travel 25% of time
Prefer candidates with a technical background experienced in automation equipment or industrial products.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel is required.
