SEPA Payments Business Analyst recruitment

 The successful candidate will be required to identify and develop SEPA Scheme and related business requirements, as well as engage with payment programmes, projects and key project stakeholders.  Provide SEPA payments scheme insight, facilitate, participate and lead business requirements workshops as part of the end to end delivery of SEPA projects. 

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder management, working closely with client representatives
• Owning of creation and maintenance of requirements and design
• Continual analysis of the organisation’s practices and processes to find ways to significantly improve on them and apply SEPA rule.
• Increasing income maximisation and cost control through the development of efficient processes for end-users.

Experience
• Retail banking experience
• Previous consulting experience an advantage
• Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
• Proven experience of interacting directly with key business stakeholders and end users
• Detailed knowledge of UK and European Payments Industry and Clearing
• Demonstrable knowledge of SEPA rulebook, implementation, procedures and operations
• Ability to facilitate workshops to capture and document business and technical requirements
• Knowledge of payment mechanisms, e.g. Faster Payments, SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET2, Credit Cards
• Knowledge of end-to-end payments processes, from capture to reconciliation
• Knowledge of payment initiatives, mobile and digital channels
• Knowledge of payment systems and solutions, design and delivery and transformation initiatives
• Application of proven business analysis techniques such as CATWOE, SWOT analysis and business activity modelling to aid GAP analysis
• Workshop facilitation including the ability to undertake business process re-engineering sessions with all levels of the business
• Use of lean tool kits to identify areas for business improvement
• Application of business management strategies such as Six Sigma where such skills are held
• Use of Microsoft Visio to process map an organisation’s processes, policies and requirements
• Application of recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile where these skills are in place and called for
• Use of Microsoft Project, where required, to project plan more detailed projects.
