Server Administration Job in Clearfield 84015, Utah Us

Provide Server support for Hill’s internal server infrastructure to included supporting desktop and messaging services, as well as operational support (hosting services) for servers, clusters, Storage Area Networks (SAN), EMC Storage Systems, Hill-2K Domains and Enterprise Backup Systems. Server support includes management of support for file and print services, application servers (including email), domain controllers, web servers, and database servers. Services are proactively monitored using a variety of tools for collecting information and issuing alerts. Routine maintenance and upgrades that may affect customer availability are normally performed outside of normal business operational hours. Contractor server support is responsible for the departmental storage infrastructure and currently operates and maintains multiple / redundant SAN fabrics for critical storage. Hierarchical storage management and records management are among the upcoming storage requirements. Server support also includes disaster recovery planning and implementation services. 

Required Skills/Education: 

Bachelors Degree preferred or an Associates Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Over six years related systems administration experience. 

Possess and maintain (at least level IAT Level 1 in accordance with DoD 8570.1-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) certifications. 

Must be proficient in the following server environments related to Windows, Unix, and Linux:

Domain controllers (Windows 2003), Web servers (Apache, IIS, .NET, ColdFusion), database servers (Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle 8/9/10), application servers (Exchange 2003, Remedy, Sharepoint, NetBackup) Virtual Servers (VMWare)

Web server admin (Apache, IIS, .NET, Coldfusion) / Web development

Storage (SAN 

Core hours of operation is 0600-1800 Monday through Friday. However, can vary up to and including 24/7/365. Employee shall be available for on-call and/or off-hours support on as pre-arranged via government provided cellular phones, pages, and/or other remote notification technology to facilitate such extended support.
