Title: Serverside Application Developer- Javascript
Duration: Contract-to-hire
Location: Downtown Minneapolis
Specific Responsibilities:
Work with client-side team members to support business needs
Extend core persistence software (built on the Persevere framework)
Participate in Technical design and code reviews
Support production issues for various data feed processing
Work in Agile development environment for rapid and maximum through put
Monitor and report progress on Project schedule to Project Manager and Team lead
Summary of this role is to design and develop content management product using REST. The job is to expand the capabilities of a sizable content management application written in server side javascript with Persevere 2.0. The application runs on top of rhino backed by mongodb and lucene. The primary focus will be on the HTTP APIs between the backend and various client interactions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years software development experience in dynamic languages
- Experience with server side scripting using non-blocking IO is mandatory (javascript experience in particular)
- Strong experience in Persevere and/or Node.js
- Strong Javascript knowledge
- Experience in developing REST style APIs and SOA
- Strong knowledge in XML
- Familiarity with XSD, XSLT and XQuery
