Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for servicing and inspecting rental vehicles for customer use, transporting vehicles from servicing area to customer pick-up, maintaining gas logs on vehicles and maintaining cleanliness of work area.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: TIME
1. Clean and service rental vehicles for customer use (including washing, fueling, gassing, adding air and fluids and associated preparations); review inspection checklist to ensure vehicles are properly prepared and meet quality criteria.

2. Transport customers to and from the rental center as required.

3. Locate and deliver vehicles to appropriate locations as directed.

4. Sweep and clean service area and maintain equipment, tools and adequate cleaning supplies.

5. Maintain gas logs and other logs as requested by management.

6. Inspect and park valet cars as directed.

7. Coordinate and inspect vehicles for internal and external damage, arrange for repairs as needed and prepare vehicles for turnback.

8. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to operate large shuttle vehicles.
* Ability to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
* General knowledge of automobile mechanics with the ability to pay attention to detail.
* Ability to write clearly and concisely.
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
* Ability to present a professional, enthusiastic attitude through effective communication skills to promote a positive impression of Dollar to customers and employees.

Required Education/Experience
* High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
* Previous work experience preferred.
* Valid drivers license as required by state.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill
* Knowledge and skill in the operation of car rental software and hardware
* Knowledge of car rental operations
* Ability to manage stressful and unusual situations while maintaining good customer relations
* Good organizational skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
* Ability to speak and understand English
* Car rental product knowledge and ability to use effective and approved sales techniques, as required
* Ability to type and perform accurate data entry
* Ability to process all paperwork according to policies and procedures

Required Education/Experience
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Prefer 9 to 12 months car rental or sales experience
* Valid driver's license as required by state
