Service and Vendor Manager recruitment
An opportunity exists within the Finance Change Data team for a Service and Vendor Manager of our existing outsourced and offshored teams.
This person will be responsible for the following either on a regional or global basis:
- VM Governance: accountability in the broader UBS context / operating model for relationship management
- Performance Management: monitoring reporting system; SLA mechanism other incentives
- External Staff Management: dispute resolution escalation
- Financial Management: range of processes for budgetary control, invoicing, credits/debits benefits realisation tracking
- Risk Management: business continuity, disaster recovery and risk management processes
- Audit Compliance: adherence to audit, compliance inspection activities
- Capacity management: monitoring, planning management for service growth/contraction requirements
- Contract Change Management: conduct of contractual / commercial relationship incl. management of Control Change Notices with Supply Demand Management
- Knowledge Management MI: guide to resources know-how across UBS
Role Overview
- Management of key stakeholder relationships within and outside of Finance
- Providing Structure and governance according to UBS methodologies
- Developing detailed approach, plans and controls
- Ensuring consistency of approach and delivery across streams
- Vendor Management and Partnering with the offshore transition team
- VM Governance - Support of corporate wide and strategic governance
Responsible Officer and OBI Certification
Quarterly Account Reviews
Strategic Vendor Events / Meetings
- Knowledge Management MI
Responsible Officer Training (on demand)
Service Management, SLA, Cultural Awareness Training
Demand planning and budgeting

- Performance, Financial, Risk Management Processes
SLA – compliance to rebaselining, development of finance framework, best practices for new areas
Documentation – compliance to refreshment, tool rollout, random QA audit
Capacity, Productivity PEX monthly validation and reporting
Financial management – adherence to rate cards, invoicing, business case tracking, credit/debit model
Application cyclical testing (residual risk monitoring)
CSAT
Contractual obligations – rSLA support, rate card renewal, contract maintenance
Audit support
- You will have an opportunity to interact with a variety of people across the bank including:
Senior Management within Finance
Finance professionals across all Finance functions and regions
Group Control Functions (Supply Demand Management, IT Risk Management, Operational Risk Control, Legal and Compliance)
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- Four year bachelors degree or international equivalent
- Ten years of working experience in outsourcing, offhoring, vendor management or program management
- Experience interacting with all levels and departments within a company including global and regional headquarters around the world. Familiar with location / regional / global working dynamics
- Self-starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion, to work as individual contributor, mentor junior level staff, and to contribute as part of a larger team
- A high degree of communication skill, as well as strong networking capability, in particular with local regulators, legal, tax, compliance, audit, security, corporate sourcing
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates drive, energy and clarity of thinking in advancing change solutions in a complex environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritise, identify problems and seek solutions
- High Standard of fluency in spoken and written English; German would be an advantage
- Strong Stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to accounting and finance, investment banking products and services
