Service Assistant III
Job Function and Key Duties Responsibilities 1. Responds to customer inquiries via multiple channels as assigned by the supervisor.2. Utilizes systems and resources when responding to telemarketing and customer service inquiries, as assigned both written and verbal.3. Communicates product features and benefits and contract provision details.4. Performs all transactions in compliance with company guidelines and insurance regulations while meeting the needs of the customer.5. Analyzes and researches routine situations, offers alternatives, handles internal processes, and takes ownership to obtain satisfactory resolution6. Routes inquiries for internal departmental handling, other NYL Departments and AARP divisions as appropriate.7. Processes customer payments.8. Calculates or verifies electronically produced calculations relating to matters such as rates, quotes, cash surrenders and other policy values, settlement options, premiums, loans, and taxes in accordance with contract provisions and Company procedures. Assists with analyzing and reconciling electronic system variances resulting from erroneous adjustments made to customer on records in processing service requests.9. Provides routine data for reporting purposes and/or compiles data for reports as requested by Supervisor. 10. Performs in a team environment both inside the call center and with other departments.11. Maintains satisfactory level of key performance indicators according to departmental requirements.12. Works shifts and high volume schedules that meet the needs of the business. May require overtime.13. Acquires and maintains a resident/Florida Life Insurance License and any non-resident licenses, as required.14. Performs projects and other duties as assigned.
