Position Summary

Through effective communication (both oral and written) and the ability to work well with a wide variety of groups and individuals; The Service Consultant (SC) provides excellent customer service to assigned new and existing client base. The main objective is to assist, customize and streamline the implementation of the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) Billing Option Program within an assigned territory.

 

Role Qualifications:

The following is intended to provide the required minimum level of education and/or experience required for this position:

ü   Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or a combination of work experience in related fields equal to the degree.

ü  A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the area of customer service, sales or marketing.

 

Desired Qualifications:

ü  Prior work or volunteer experience within the public education school system.

ü  Prior work or volunteer experience working with special needs or special education children.

 

Position Responsibilities:

The following is intended to provide the essential job functions for this position:

ü  Seek methods to improve and maximize each client’s MAA reimbursement according to MBT-established deadlines.

ü  Provide annual/periodic MAA program training to clients. Training may be individual, group or virtual in nature.

ü  Proactively make regular, direct contact with assigned client base to assist in program implementation.

ü  Work with client to reveal missing and potential billing opportunities.

ü  Maintain audit binder and support client in preparation of an audit.

ü  Be available in person, by telephone and email to meet client needs and inquiries, as well as company staff needs as they relate to MAA.

ü  Ensure compliance with current DHCS regulations as well as LEC/LGA guidelines.

ü  Review and correct time surveys.

ü  Retrieve necessary documents (time surveys, job descriptions, enrollment, financials, etc.) from client to expedite completion of MAA process.

ü  Troubleshoot and coordinate with other MBT team members on client claims that are not billable and need client correction.

ü  Maintain excellent client relationships to ensure maximum cooperation, efficiency and productivity.

ü  Perform other related duties as assigned.

ü  Commit to regular travel throughout an identified territory, and regular visits to MBT’s corporate office in Visalia, including overnight stays.
