Business Services is the backbone of the Group, providing a diverse range of high quality services to the customer-facing operations within the Group. Business services includes; Technology Services, Group Operations, Group Property, Security and Risk (Corporate Security Services), Business Services Risk, Business Services Finance, Business Services Human Resources, Strategy and Architecture, and Procurement.           

Strategy and Architecture help the Bank make better, more informed decisions regarding what, where, why, how we operate and who with.  We do this through the provision of Strategy, Portfolio Management, Service Management and Architecture Services across the Group. 

In the role of Service Cost Manager, you'll lead identification of commercial data sources and standards, to support the development of commercial recommendations across a range of projects. You'll also develop complex service and cost models in both Excel and specialist software, to enable end-to-end business understanding and decision-making. Additionally, you’ll ensure specialist software is successfully deployed and lead the development of overall commercial methodology components to ensure re-work and reliance on external specialist consultancy resources is minimised.          

As Service Cost Manager, you'll have demonstrable experience of activity-based costing and service-based costing methodologies, tools, and techniques. You’ll have experience of working with complex, cross-divisional recharging and cost allocation methodologies, as well as strong experience of facilitating commercial decision-making. You’ll also have the ability to gather and synthesise information and ideas persuasively as a means to building support and facilitating decision-making at senior management level. Additionally, you'll have proven experience in generating customer focussed recommendations from qualitative and quantitative insight.
