Title:                Service Desk Engineer

Role Summary:
Supports installation, configuration and operation of all servers (Linux or Windows) in a heterogeneous, high-availability environment.  Tasks include providing servers’ support and administration according to the published support plans.

Responsibilities:
•    Be part of the Infrastructure Team to administrate, monitor and implement network and server systems.
•    Perform level 1 support
•    Active Directory Migration and Deployment
•    Deployment of Infrastructure hardware including Windows and UNIX servers
•    Assist in developing tools and methods to improve and automate existing processes
•    To support the business operations on system monitoring, backup and performance troubleshooting
•    Integration of supporting applications and environments
•    Assisting with design, testing and implementation of backup and disaster recovery plans for servers
•    Efficient Time Management and handle multiple projects, problems and tasks concurrently
•    Effective Patch Management for the Servers and Systems
•    Perform and execute projects for Servers or Systems (i.e. including Move, Add and Changes (MAC))
•    Ensure high quality services at all times.
•    Execute corporate policies in every dimension.

Requirements:
•    Excellent communications both written and verbal, passion for the technology and new challenges, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, and other technical staff.
•    Possess knowledge in UNIX and Wintel Server Administration
•    Understand MS Window 2003 servers, TCP/IP, including Active Directory integrated DNS, DHCP and WINS operation
•    Possess knowledge on SQL Server 2000 script, DTS, Replication, Analysis Services, Backup / Restore / Disaster Recovery
•    Self motivated, enthusiastic and diligent.
•    Ability to work with a team.
•    Ability to work under reasonable time pressure, whilst ensuring that quality of the end product is not compromised in any way.

Education:
BS Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent in education and/or experience

Certification:
Microsoft Certifications are beneficial
