Pattyn North America, LLC is looking for a Service Engineer.

Pattyn North America, LLC is a Subsidiary of Pattyn Packing Lines nv, Belgium who manufactures Case Erectors, Bagmaker/Inserters, Filling Machines, Decuffer/Folders Decuffer/Sealer and Case Closers. (www.Pattyn.com)

The right candidate is an electrical engineer with excellent managerial skills, has interest in a fast paced work environment and is also looking for future increased responsibilities.  Pattyn North America is a fast growing company with state-of-art equipment mainly targeting the food industry.

The responsibility will include giving technical support to customers, machine service, upgrades as well as equipment installation, commissioning and start-up. Further provide technical service support via phone/email, equipment evaluation, training of customers, integrators and business partners in the use and upkeep of the machinery sold.

Responsibilities include:

• Equipment Installation, Commissioning Start-up at customer’s locations
• Service and Repairs of equipment at customer’s locations
• Promote parts sales and equipment upgrades
• Customer training in use of equipment
• Support our customer service program

• Electrical / electronic diagnosis of complex issues related to Pattyn Packing equipment 
• Implementation, installation and evaluation of product improvements in the form of new hardware and software
• Maintain and submit reports relating to the hours spent working on customer issues 

Qualifications:

• Understanding of manufacturing and process engineering practices
• Customer service skills and result orientated.
• Strong knowledge of automation equipment and sub systems
• Must be able to work in a team environment

• Interacts well with customers

• Shows an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously 
• Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude, well organized, good communication and time management skills
• Strives for continuous improvement and excellence 
• Resourceful, able to act independently and to recognize when higher intervention may be necessary

• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Working knowledge and experience interfacing with and diagnosis of AB GE PLC’s, HMI, and Servo Systems 

• Strong skill set related to programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) for diagnosis of software issues
• Strong skill set in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams for use in troubleshooting and installation activities
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent working knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access)

• Degree in Electronics or related discipline is require
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience working with automation equipment in a surface mount environment

Travel:

• Expected 40% travel activity mainly in North America
