Convergint Technologies is a service-based company that designs, installs, and maintains building systems, with a dedicated focus in the areas of Fire Alarm Life Safety, Security, and Building Automation.

 

Convergint is headquartered in Schaumburg, IL, with offices throughout North America.

 

We are currently looking for a Service Manager responsible for all service business throughout California and Nevada.  Our organization includes over a dozen technicians and four coordinators located in offices in Orange County and Northern California.

 

Regular travel to Northern California is expected.

Job Summary

 Principle Accountabilities

·         Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction, via survey process.

·         Financial responsibility for all aspects of service operations department profitability.

·         Working with the business development team, grow service revenue at 25% annually.

·         Manage service operations personnel, including office staff and field technicians.

·         Responsible for all aspects of service deliverables, including effective call intake and dispatch, prompt arrival to customer premise, efficient resolution of problem to customer’s satisfaction, and timely invoicing.

·         Manage service operations work flow to ensure optimal customer service delivery.

·         Responsible for recruiting new personnel and doing performance reviews.

·         Plan and implement delivery of all Customer Support Programs (CSP).

·         Ensure timely regular updates are made per contract requirements to Service Delivery Management tools.

·         Provide accurate proposals for deficiencies and changes as required by customer.

·         Assist and support with collections of Accounts Receivables.

·         Provide technical support to end users and field labor by coordinating knowledge and expertise of Service Specialists.

·         Keep up to date and informed on all company products, services and policies.

·         Responsible to deliver quoted scope of work within established budgets.

·         Track and ensure maintenance of field technician training certifications.

·         Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

 

 

 

Qualifications

·         5 years minimum experience managing staff, including hiring, training and work flow management

·         5 years minimum customer service experience, preferably with direct customer contact

·         High energy, versatile, ability to multi-task, organized and detail oriented.

·         Must be a positive team player in a challenging and changing environment and be flexible under stringent time requirements and changing deadlines.

·         Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Candidate must have proficient data entry skills and be competent using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
 

Desirable

·         Administrative and/or technical experience in Electronic Security and/or Fire Alarm Life Safety.
