AVAILABLE: The Portland Service Center has an immediate need for a Service Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages the daily business and work process flow for “In Shop” or “Mobile” environment; duties include but are not limited to:
· Support the Cummins Northwest Customer Service Philosophy and Standards.
· Provide leadership in the Service Center for Power Gen and Cummins service employees.
· Conduct service meetings for Safety, Technical Updates, 6 Sigma and employee communication.
· Thoroughly engaged with the “voice of the customer” and utilizing NPS/CSI for Customer Satisfaction improvement.
· Participate in employee recruitment interviews.
· Key role in employee performance reviews and IDP process.
· Oversee the scheduling of technicians and assigned work.
· Oversee the management of work orders, including customer contact during the diagnostic, quoting, repair and invoicing (or claim creation) processes.
· Understand QuickServe measures and their role in the process.
· Participate in the process of continuous improvement for customers, employees the Company.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills
· Understand the service process, measures and the activity that affects the measures.
· Possess high integrity enabling trust between both external and internal customers.
· Analysis/problem solving skills with basic knowledge of diesel engine technology.
· PC skills for written communications.
· Team leadership and motivation skills.
· Demonstrate commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement.
· Ability to perform under visionary conditions for future changes in business conditions.
· Ability to develop and maintain a good business relationship with customers.
· Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to perform quick decisions, have a decision making process in place.
· Minimum High School graduate or equivalent.
· Minimum five years experience in service operations or related field.
· Capable of performing the role of a fully qualified Service Supervisor.
· Experience in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to motivate and manage people.
