The WEB Operations Team supports and maintains number of labs and requires someone that can intelligently manage and drive the Services that we provide for the future of Embedded. This position has significant scope and impact and thus the individual needs to be highly motivated and self-directed. In performing regular duties, this person will work with project and program managers to ensure status is reported, goals are met, and scorecard metrics are maintained. Key deliverables include gathering representing project requirements, design/deployment, working with other teams to ensure deployments are standardized and delivered as desired, creating and maintaining associated templates and documentation, maintaining key metrics, implementing a number of technological projects, performing as subject matter expert, delivering training to subordinate engineers, and serving as an evangelist for infrastructure and services. Primary Responsibilities include: - Drive detailed problem analysis in order to reduce customer incidents and system errors - Ensure operational best practices are followed during engineering - Work with all disciplines to understand operations requirements and drive solutions to their critical work items - Identify, evangelize, and deploy new technologies or automation within supported labs - Ensure issues are responded to and resolved within a standard SLA - Direct the work of up to 6 contingent staff supporting multiple mini-labs - Create issue metrics showing number and type of issues, issue life-cycle and mean-time to resolution Qualifications: - 3+ years experience as a Full-time Service Operations or Service Engineer supporting lab customers in a product team environment - 5+ years experience managing supportability and troubleshooting the availability of applications, properties, systems, networks, and servers - Virtual Computing (Virtual Server Hyper - V) knowledge required - Working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 required Preferred: - Microsoft Certification (MCSE) a plus - CEPC and Windows Embedded knowledge a plus
