THE POSITION:
Service technicians – Job # 16722BR
Summary:
The successful applicant will service and perform preventative maintenance as required for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as may be sold or serviced by the branch.
The successful candidate will:
- Perform service repair work and preventative maintenance as required for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment that may be sold or serviced by the branch.
- Maintain accurate work records, adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log
- Keep manuals up to date, and maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in accordance with established procedures.
- Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
- Test equipment before leaving job site and perform safety check.
- Maintain good customer relations and customer service
- Assist others in install/service methods and other duties as may be required

- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the automated door industry would be a definite asset
- Diploma in a related carpentry, electrical, mechanical, industrial field or the equivalent combination of education and related work experience,
- Prior construction or field service experience,
- AAADM Certification would be an asset,
- Ability to work outside in various climate conditions,
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record,
- Must be capable of meeting the following physical demands including, but not limited to: lifting or carrying weights form 50-75 lbs, sitting while driving for periods of up to 2 hours, standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling and twisting spine occasionally,
- Ability to work around the following conditions: moving vehicles, object, hazardous machinery, sharp tools cluttered floors, slippery floors, electrical hazards, poor lighting and wet conditions,
- Must be able to read basic blueprints,
- Ability to work independently and within teams,
- Good oral and written communication skills,
- Must be proficient in basic computer functions such as email and MS Word.
