Services COO recruitment

Position Overview: The Services COO role will provide operational cohesiveness, management discipline and strong mortgage and capital markets experience to this growth business. COO will work with Services head to establish appropriate commercial goals for each services offering, create processes in support of attaining those goals as well as report against progress toward same. COO will be required to communicate and collaborate with partners and stakeholders across CMI, GTS and ICG

The position will also be responsible for:

- Management resource planning, time allocation, budgeting, delivery oversight, and MIS/reporting associated with the Services company

- Market sizing and segmentation; formulation of strategies and approaches to win the business; development of marketing materials and prospectuses

- Harmonization of top down and bottoms up goals, setting strategic direction for Services

- Deal pricing, costing of services, financial analysis, development of processes to attain BU financial goals and meet customer needs

- Interaction and coordination with internal and external business partners in the delivery of world class products and services to targeted customer segments

- Meeting with customers to present and market Services product offerings; helps negotiate and close deals profitably and on a timely basis

- Management of multiple high priority and visible projects and project teams

- Recruiting, managing, coaching, and mentoring junior team members, providing regular feedback linked to agreed goals and objectives

- Performing all other duties as requested by the Head of Services, including filling in for the Head of Services, or representing the Services area under the delegation of authority

Reporting Relationships: The Services COO will report to the Head of Services.

Skills

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred
- Position requires a minimum of 15 plus years of broad-based and deep experience in mortgage finance, including front and back ends, sub/master/servicing, custody, trustee, etc. in financial, risk, and operational capacities.
- Must have strong leadership and prior experience managing highly qualified teams of professionals and managers
- Strong business acumen coupled with management, organization, administrative and relationship management skills
- Ability to influence others effectively and create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders by using communication processes to ensure understanding and alignment

- Excellent written and oral communications skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and mediate effectively
