Services Engineer at Mozilla (San Francisco, CA) (allows remote)
Job Description
The web is breaking free of the confines of the browser and moving into the cloud. The Mozilla Cloud Services team creates products to give the users control of their data in this new online-centric world and to create open source solutions to common problems encountered by server developers, enabling them to focus on creating new products rather than worrying about their infrastructure.
We are looking for engineers who can design and implement large-scale server applications, features and libraries that will affect the lives of millions of users. You'll be working on Firefox Sync, Geolocation Services, Notifications, Heka, and other innovative projects built the Mozilla way.
Skills Requirements
An ideal candidate also has the following qualifications:
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent
* Fluency in Python or Go
* Proficiency with databases and other mass storage technologies
* Familiarity with internet protocols and API design
* Experience in test-driven development
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Experience participating in open source projects a plus
(Remote or in-office in Canada, the U.K., France, New Zealand, Mountain View or San Francisco, CA. or home-based in Australia, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, or Sweden.)
