Set-Up Mechanic
Able to check dimension and stock number for scheduled jobs. Ensuring Press has specific components available for production. Crossing all disciplines throughout Carton Manufacturing, work as a team to manufacture to customer demands. This includes ability to maintain 5S and Standard work in their work area. Assists in a variety of quality checks, inspections, and audits as necessary to meet quality standards. Responsible for correcting deviations when quality issues arise. Assists in a variety of mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment uptime and active participation in Equipment wellness activities. Provide support for team based performance goals and assist in tracking performance. Be proactive in self development in areas related to their position as a Heidelberg team member. Team members will be expected to provide and implement ideas for continuous improvement. Ability to learn to run Feeder on Printing Press. Open and accepting of cross training opportunities. Cooperation and work in team environment. Ability to learn, get along well with others, a team player and has proven good communication skills. Operates and maintains all auxiliary equipment, associated with the position Assists with Head Pressman and 2nd Pressman with make-readies and runs, as required. Understand QCO principles and be an active participant Flexible and open to change. Assists in the cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment Is able and willing to work overtime, when necessary. Willing to learn 2nd pressman responsibilities and step into when need arises. Skills and Requirements include: Print, Quality production knowledge and an understanding of the tools such as Quick Changeover, 5S, Equipment Wellness and Standard Work. Printing background pre-requisite.
