Within Worldwide Operations and Technology, Securities Settlements provide Settlement Services across more than 90 Global Markets. The Unit supports all Custody clients, self clearing in 4 markets and utilising a network of Sub Agents for the remainder.
- We are seeking a specialist in Equities Fixed Income settlements for our newly established operation in Frankfurt, Main. As we are a boutique business in Frankfurt, you will be working in a small office environment of 20 personal and in a team of 4 directly responsible for all settlements for one of the largest German investment managers.
Role / Principal Responsibilities
- Equities Fixed Income Settlements Team, reporting directly to the Team Leader. The Settlements team cover various markets across Europe, Asia Pacific and North, Middle and South America.
- Working with worldwide brokers and custodians to achieve timely settlement.
- Manage the process for the transfer of securities between Cedel, Euroclear and the local markets in close cooperation with the custodians.
- Monitoring of unmatched trades and rejections, providing resolution options and chasing to ensure amendments are completed in time to make settlement.
- Act as first point of contact for all queries ensuring an answer is provided within 24 hours.
- Provide team assistance ensuring the completion of all daily reports.
Skills / Experience
- Proactive ability to work as part of a team.
- Good understanding of the settlements process.
- Good communication skills, including telephone communication to other institutions as well as internal partners.
- Good organisational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- English German Language skills.
