Settlement/Trading Analyst
Leading fixed income broker/dealer is seeking a full-time Settlement Analyst or Trading Analyst to fulfill routine and non-routine transactions. This person will perform trade settlement and reconciliation activiites, and solve more complex issues efficiently and effectively in accordance with broker dealer and industry standards. Follow procedures to resolve internal business partner requests and issues. Act as a subject matter expert to the team. Recommend/ implement process improvements. Act as point of approval/resolution of escalated issues, where applicable.

AUTHORITIES
This role has the authority to:
- Troubleshoot/resolve most problems independently/authority levels following established guidelines and procedures. Maintain appropriate audit trails.
- May problem-solve escalated issues from others, as appropriate.
- Escalate all unresolved processing problems to teh appropriate level, as per guidelines, including system, software adn hardware failures.
- Prioritize work in accordance with policy and severity of service impact to minimize financial/customer impacts.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Securities processing knowledge, including US Treasury and other fixed income type of securities with a broker/dealer.
- Fixed income clearing and settlement functions.
- University degree/college diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of related experience or more.
- Good knowledge of standard desktop applications used by the business unit.
- Good knowledge of and understanding of the business unit's key products and services, processes and controls.
- Good understanding of the business unit's risk and regulatory requirements.
- Good knowledge of departmental systems and applications.
- Strong processing skills with great attention to detail and accuracy.
