Description

Manage a team containing of supervisors and shareholder service specialists in daily operations. Also may oversee other unit managers. Monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching routinely. Analyze trends and develop strategies to improve team performance. Maintain regular client interaction and promote BNY Mellon through fostering customer relationships. Achieve operational objectives, global business plans and ensure adherence to the highest quality standards. Begin to work on projects and other related business initiatives and assist section manager in other duties. INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND INFLUENCE: Present or exchange information. Participate in group meetings to exchange status, data, etc. WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND INFLUENCE: Write to address individuals or groups who may have different interests or goals, where examples of format may exist, but not content. Requires written presentation of potentially complex information and views. CLIENT CONTACTS: Maintains effective internal and external contacts. Models good client relations. Anticipates and meets both short and long-term needs of customers. Seeks ways of improving client service orientation. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Guides the successful completion of moderate projects and may function in a project leadership role. LEADERSHIP: Takes a lead role in a work group, team, or project. Mentors/trains others. Monitors the progress of overall group and individual goals. Delegates appropriately and encourages independent behavior. PROBLEM SOLVING: Applies knowledge to determine solutions to complex problems with minimal direction. Uses research and analysis to develop innovative solutions. IMPACT : Decisions influence overall program or project success, client relationships, expenses, and/or the unit's ability to meet objectives.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE: Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within a professional field. Integrates and evaluates new advancements in the industry to coordinate and contribute to successful business results.

EDUCATION: Technical/Trade/Business School Certificate/Associates Degree or equivalent experience

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of six years
