About this opportunity:

 

The Share Point Application Developer position is an intermediate-level position responsible for formulating business requirements, designing, developing, testing and implementing SharePoint Team sites utilizing existing SharePoint 2010 environment. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge configuring and customizing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010 in a clustered server environment, MOSS 2007 and 2010, MOSS web forms maintenance and design, WSS 3.0, Application and SQL database administration in an Enterprise environment.   Experience with MS Project/Portfolio Server administration in a large enterprise environment and integration of Microsoft Project/Portfolio Server with Windows SharePoint Services is a plus.  This position is a temporary, 6-month position, but may convert to a permanent position.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

·        Collaboration Portal site creation and customization, including security set up, designing site structure, and content types.

·        Web part and user control development.

·        Form development, including integration with back end databases. 

·        Workflow development using SharePoint Designer.

·        Implementation of Action Tracking System and other previously developed content types utilizing code developed at other NASA Centers.

·        Builds, maintains and edits web-based access views and reports used to transfer data to customers as approved.

·        Integrate non-SharePoint related services into SharePoint applications as needed (i.e., Remedy, Oracle Databases, SQL Databases, File Shares).

·        Development of Business Intelligence dashboards and reports to accurately reflect metrics as requested by Arcata and NASA management.

·        Perform Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0 operations and application management as well as SQL Database development and maintenance.

·        Diagnose and resolve installation and configuration issues, as well as connectivity and authentication issues.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of practical experience with:  

·        MS SharePoint Server administration in a large enterprise environment

·        MS Project

 

The candidate will also need at least 2 years of practical experience with

·        MOSS 2007/2010 and MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007

·        MOSS web parts

 

The SharePoint Application Developer position requires:

 

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a combination of formal education and experience equivalent to a 4-year college degree

·        Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level Government Security Clearance

·        Valid driver’s license
