SharePoint Architect-Contract (10-12 months)
The SharePoint Architect will design, develop, deploy, and support custom built and third party applications for Microsoft Office SharePoint (MOSS) 2010 environments.
Key Duties Responsibilities:
- Work with end users and business analysts to understand and document business functional requirements and customize out of the box SharePoint sites to suit business needs
- Perform SharePoint and .net development and build custom workflows using SharePoint Designer; monitor SharePoint farm performance and integrity; server performance tuning, search maintenance and tuning; and customization of site master pages and page layouts
- Develop the conceptual SharePoint 2010 solution architecture. Identify gaps/overlaps between the as-is and to-be SharePoint intranet environment by process/function
- Ensure project scope and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience with SharePoint (2007 and 2010); minimum of 1 year experience with SharePoint 2010 design through deployments, including installation
- Experience with SharePoint 2010 application implementation
- Proven success in creating SharePoint 2007 and 2010 application architectures and detailed understanding of SharePoint 2010 platform; full SDLC experience
- Multiple-project expertise in large to small farm SharePoint 2007 architecture design and familiarity with infrastructure deployment
- Experience with Microsoft .Net Framework including .NET Development Platform (Visual Studio), XML, Soap, Web Services, and agile development methodologies are required; C#, C++, ASP.Net a plus
- Strong background and knowledge of all aspects of application testing – unit, component, regression, functional, systems integration and user acceptance testing
- Knowledge of web design and aesthetic web concepts
- Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory
- Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist for SharePoint 2010 is a plus
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
