SharePoint Developer
Use your IT expertise to support learning across our Board!
We have a contract position, to August 31, 2012, for a SharePoint Developer to support learning across the Board as part of our Learning Technology Support Services department.
Reporting to the Team Leader – Internet / Intranet, the SharePoint Developer will develop custom SharePoint 2007 solutions, including site definitions and templates, workflows, web parts, and features.
Working in conjunction with the SharePoint team, you will:
- work with key stakeholders to distil business requirements into technical functional requirements for the Internet / Intranet
- arrange and perform testing on custom developed components
- develop and implement approved changes
- attend all relevant meetings
- handle special projects, as required by the Team Leader – Internet / Intranet and the SharePoint Analyst.
As a SharePoint Developer, you will be able to apply your:
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Extensive experience with branding SharePoint Internet sites, working with, and creating, custom site definitions and templates, web parts, workflows and features
- Extensive working knowledge of, and experience developing in, C#, ASP.net using Visual Studio
- Experience with, and understanding of, HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and jQuery
- Extensive working knowledge of Master Pages, Page Layouts, Content Types, InfoPath and web services, web applications and SQL Server Reporting Services
- Competency with SDLC and test methodologies
- Ability to deal effectively with non-technical and technical staff.
